  1. Robb Wolf, a great presenter. He has connected to the link of grass fed meats Vs Grain. He is a smart man, who sees the link between our old traditional diets and the flaws in our current 21st century diets.

People need to understand that not only is the food you eat important, but how that food was grown...

We can only be as healthy as the soil we grow our food in. Animals eat what is grown in the soils, they make THEIR health from that and then we consume these animals plus the produce grown in these soils.

So it's fair to say then, we are what we eat, but we are also what our animals eat!

I live my life around these principals everyday. hardly straying from and i can be the first to stand up and say IT DOES WORK! :)

Who ever knew me a year ago would tell you that i had some pretty bad digestive issues. Since paying more attention to detail with my lifestyle i have helped improve that, and it's a constant learning curve for me as i still find foods that set me off. (stress is the biggest kick started to my digestive issues!)

I think it's very important to look at other aspects of health also. After all there is more to it then exercise and nutrition yeh?

for example, Thoughts. With out good thoughts we have nothing. Thoughts control our every impulse (conscious or subconscious). It's Important to stay positive in all that you do. I like the saying "I don't know that positive thinking will work all of the time. I do know that negative thinking will"

Hydration, this is obvious, yet a lot of people simply get to cought up in their daily lives to remember to drink enough water. Times your body weight by 0.03 to find out how much water you need daily... EVERYDAY to function closer to optimal performance. Are you getting enough?

Rhythm, We train hard, but do we sleep hard?
Most of your bodies recovery will happen between 10:30 and 2am... You can see why it's important to get to sleep on time! If you stay up to midnight every night, are you giving yourself every chance to recover?

Breathing, are you breathing correct. There are two path ways to the autonomous nervous system. One is Para-sympathetic and the other is Sympathetic. This is your YING and your YANG.
Without balance here you cannot function the way you need to.

Para-sympathetic represents REST and DIGEST. when your body can finally recover and digest and assimilate your foods and create active living, healthy tissues!

Sympathetic is FIGHT or FLIGHT. Your stress response. To much of this can cause you to burn through your muscles and become more catabolic. Tissue destructive!

So teach your body how to breath properly. Diaphragm breathing is a great way to help your body shift in to a para sympathetic path way. Big deep breath in through your BELLY not the neck and chest and breath out. Through your nose is a better way to breath in and out as the little hairs in your nose filter the air for you! :)

Try it after exercise one day! :)

Just some things to think about anyway. Help to draw a bigger picture for you. How much time do you spend working on your HEALTH not just your FITNESS? I think this is very important :)

I hope everyone can all experience true health and wellness in this life life. You reading this are on the right track to achieving it, so make sure you never lose sight and keep seeking a higher state of awareness and health! :)

  2. Hi Guys
Miss you all, and miss CFP. The workouts at the base are mostly AMRAPs. So awesome, no bumpers or kettlebells here though. Won't be back for Top Dog which is a real bummer, but will try and catch you over the xmas break sometime. Thanks for welcoming my sister into the fold too, it is fantastic that she has gotten up the guts to come along and smash it up. All the best!
