This was a toughie WOD 18:18 as r,xd Dead lifts 55, 60 , 60 (3 - 4 months ago I would of fainted at the site of 40KG n a wod, now its "Oh S......t" but I just rack it up and do my best) (mind over matter)
DL with snatch grip: 65k, 65k, 65k. Used hook grip, which, although painful, was definitely more secure. (And using the bar with the really sharp knurling wasn't a good move!)
WOD: 40kg Thrusters - still need to work the speed of the stand up to get weight overhead fast. could be faster still - 1st set only unbroken Thrusters. Time - 13:09.
I'm Going to the Games this Year to Represent CFP in the Affiliates Cup.
Deadlift Snatch Grip. Just checked in with Shane and D.C on this one. 130kg Failed my first set, suprised by that. Did a one hand one way one the other on the second and got 5 out. Useless set. Shane then taught me the hook grip and like Steve said it almost blew my thumbs off but it worked. Last 2 sets at 130kg.
WOD- 17.15 Rex Hunt. I was hoping that Some of the big hitting males did this WOD tonight just to see were i am at. Struggling to push myself at the moment for the individual WOD's but definately not for the affiliate squad. I find it interesting that us humans, and this is not everyone of course, find greater motivation when someone else is realying on us. A partner, a friend, a teamate.
Thanks to Justine, Shane and Veronica for sticking around and supporting us and for H.C joining the WOD. The old dog may not be as fit as he once was but if you wan't a lesson in mental toughness you could learn a thing from him.
